Lodging Information

Welcome to the lodging site! Lodging is starting to fill up, but we have reserved a block of rooms at the Beachcomber Motel. The block releases on May 1, so we suggest you book now. Below we have two recommended hotels near each other at Ft. Bragg; the Beachcomber is a little nicer, and the Beach House Inn is a little cheaper. We also included some other options near Mendocino if you are interested.

The most important thing is to make sure you book lodging near the town of Ft. Bragg, in the town of Mendocino, or between the two so that we can add you to our shuttle route!

Lodging Map

This map will show some our recommended hotels, VRBO rentals, and campsites alongside the venues to help you choose. If you'd like to book something now, we recommend staying between the two red dots, or in the town of Mendocino.

Our Recommended Hotels

Beachcomber

from $159/night

***Monica and Dan recommend staying here***

Beachcomber Motel is right on the beach on the north edge of Ft. Bragg. We recommend staying here because it is reasonably-priced, clean, and centrally located. There are pet-friendly rooms, an outside BBQ, and they rent cruiser bikes to ride on the bike path just outside the motel. With those bikes you could ride into Ft. Bragg for a cup of coffee in the morning or a drink at night.

Hill House Inn

from $99/night

Hill House Inn is a premier hotel located in the historic village of Mendocino, California, with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. The Inn is situated in lush Victorian gardens, open fields with native vegetation, towering rustic redwood water towers and magnificent cypress trees.

The 19th century Hill House Inn is known as the location where many Hollywood notables found comfortable accommodations. One of the first stars to stay here was Bette Davis while she was filming "Strangers: The Story of a Mother and Daughter" in 1979. For nostalgia, you can stay in the Bette Davis Suite. The photo gallery in the Inn lobby has a collection of signed photographs of many celebrities that have visited us here on the rugged Mendocino coast. Beginning in 1916, 17 silent movies were filmed in the area. There have been over 40 movies with sound filmed here, as well as the famous TV series, "Murder She Wrote" and other TV programs and commercials. Hill House Inn, known as Cabot Cove Inn in the series, is featured prominently throughout "Murder She Wrote".
